Medieval nobles and civilians.
« on: December 01, 2015, 15:01:04 »
I'm going to start with a new little "project", and I wanted to check if I had enough medieval nobles and villagers to pull it off...I think I do.
It's good to see not only Knights and soldiers live in Playmobil's medieval universe...  ;)
The most valiant knights are made of German plastic!!!

Looks like a pretty typical Playmobil medieval public group. Tahra would no doubt think there should be more brown, but with what's readily available it looks pretty typical. Be sure to raid any Roman or Egyptian civilians that may be handy as they can often fit right in.

Great to see that there are very few duplicates with my own civilians even though the limited source material is the same.

I'd like to see more blue, brown, cream and white by Geobra, more white head coverings for the women and in different styles, more grey and brown hats for the men.
What is totally lacking are non-noble children. They should at least add the boys cap like the one in 3666 as an option in the medieval family add on.

I would agree with Tahra there.

But it is a great looking group!
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

Lovely bunch...

But yes, especially for peasants, I prefer browns, greys and such... Of course, they are not very easy to come by, are they?  >:(

Pirates can work well as civilians too, some of them. Depending on your project you can put the most medieval ones up front in sight if its for an audience, and the others such as pirates and others that fit as emergency peasants more in the back.

If you really want us to help judge if you have enough you might need to tell us a little about your project though.  :)

Nice collection!

If you can find them, Noah and wife from the miniature set make decent peasant children.
