Home Sweet Home?

Once upon a time, Mr Rich the farmer needed to go away and leave his house empty.



It did not take long before the squatters came.



Moss found a way in.

[Raven]

'We should cover the windows,' said Sky to Rainbow.





When they ran out of fabric, they used whatever else they could find.



Though, admittedly, the other members of the household were not as neat as Sky.



But the overall result was achieved.

[Raven]

The family took a trip to the secondhand store and bought some furniture and rugs.



They made the place look a little more homely.





'We really should have bought some seating, though,' said Moss.

[Raven]

Later, however, they got some bean bags and floor cushions.



And some better secondhand beds.



Little Willow, sadly, had long been depressed by living without daylight.



So some risks were taken, letting more light enter the children's bedroom.



And some of the coverings were removed at the side of the sitting room.

[Raven]

The inevitable happened.  Their lights were spotted.



Moss went onto the balcony to talk to the police.





The police returned with Mr Rich the farmer, who realised that it would be both lengthy and costly to evict Moss' family.



And so, instead, Mr Rich agreed to rent the house to them.

[Raven]

Moss, Sky, and Rainbow were happy to remove the remaining window coverings - and to finally have electricity connected.



Mr Rich even installed a new kitchen for them.



And another family came to join them!



The new family soon settled in.



And the children got on well together.

[Raven]

For a long time, they lived very peacefully.  They worked in the garden.



They painted the bathroom.



They ate well.



They slept well.



And they took delight in the small things.

[Raven]

But then....

The children were scared by noises in the night.



And the whole household feared what every dweller in Playmoville fears.



And then one night it happened....

[Raven]

The Beast came.



The Beast of Destruction



The one that comes to wreck havoc in the night.

[Raven]

There was only one thing for it:



The families are seeking a Beast-free home.



They have a ladder.  They will find one, somewhere.
