Much to the relief of the passengers, the fog disappears and the extent of the damage becomes clear to the captain.
Seeing that there is no time to lose, the captain summons up a crew member and orders him to abandon ship, along with all the other passengers onboard. Before leaving, the crew member asks if any ships have responded to the distress calls sent. "One" the captain replies. "They're coming as quickly as possible."
The slant is so extreme now that passengers are having trouble gaining a strong footing anywhere on the ferry.
Hearing the order to abandon ship, the passengers jump overboard into the chilly waters near the ferry.
Water now pours in through the starboard windows and the ship begins her final plunge.
Once the water has a large passage into the boat, the ferry capsizes and begins to sink on a vertical angle.
With a large
whoosh, the ferry sinks, leaving nothing but debris and soaked passengers.
Will the passengers manage to find a rescue ship, or will they be stranded in the ocean?
