Custom Fire Department Rescue Engine Project Thread
« on: May 16, 2024, 05:39:06 »
Hi all,

Starting up a thread for a project I'm working on- I'm attempting to recreate a style of American fire apparatus known as a Pierce "PUC" (Pierce Ultimate Configuration). This style of apparatus utilizes an enclosed side-mount pump with the option to mount "coffin boxes" (recessed storage containers in the roof next to the hosebed).

I'm using a 4821 as the base, and making exceptions for various specifics based on limitations of both the existing rig and my ability, haha. The pump's going to stay in the rear (for now), but I'm excited to try my hand at making a realistic hosebed and coffin boxes.

So far, I've got multiple components made, including sides for the hosebed and coffin boxes, which the glue is drying on as we speak. Attached are a few reference photos, I'll be sure to keep you folks updated!

Hi all,

Slowly but surely making progress. Also, I’ve attached an image of a small side project, which is also being issued to the new fire department (the Village of Geobra Park).
