Jackalopes/Wolpertinger - sort of....
« on: September 15, 2016, 14:15:28 »
Because we talked about Jackalopes/Wolpertinger in the "What Animals Would You Like to See?-Thread"
Want to show you, what i tried few months ago..
Try to make some Wolpertinger/Jackalope - sort of.... :-D
I do not dare to paint them. Not enough experience with painting. Don't want to screw it up.
I didn´t use rabbits - like the original Wolpertinger - to small for me to handle it with the wings and the antlers.
What do you think? Like it?
Should I try to paint them?

Very nice work Jitka. Painting is tricky when you have parts that clip together like the head into the body. Some have been successful at it though.

Wow! They look gorgeous!!

No idea what jackalopes or wolpertingers are, but yours seem to come straight out of a fairy tale.
What colour would you paint them?

I kinda like how they look now :) But I suppose, with the right parts, you can always make new ones if the paint job fails.
You'd always wonder what it could have looked like, if you didn't try.
