Why no new PM Trains?

I'm somewhat to new to PM trains, just recently bought 4010 in E-bay. I wonder why PM has not released any new trains the last couple of years... Any ideas?

I think they didn't sell well and the recession made matters worse.

too expensive .... and nobody buys them, this is sad because the company always had trains through the years

Yes, price was a problem and in the UK there were problems with RC frequencies or something of that sort.

There were some rumors at klickywelt that there'll be new train-related sets in the second half of 2012 but no further information about what they'll contain or look like. In 5 or 6 weeks we'll know more...

I am sure trains will make a glorious comeback. Trains will always be a popular toy and playmobil has created some magnificnet sets like the 4052 and western train !!!

i love the 4034 set. in fact i bought one from italy at 450 euros. so i hope i didn't lose my money, if they decide to open a new production line. in any case, they are bautiful, especially in a diorama. i prefer those electical though. May be my age....

450Eu sounds quite a lot. Hope it was new at least. I'm building a transportation theme with airport and harbor so the train was a must

450 is a lot indeed . A very good complete set in box should go for 300-350 tops i reckon. 450 is a bit pricey ....
