I'd love to goin a store and feel to see which I can find, but our two local shops that sell Playmobil here don't have them  :'( (or at least they didn't last time I was in town, though one said they might be getting them).
They know me by now so they wouldn't mind me acting like an idiot and trying to guess which was which - I'm sure they's expect it of me  ;D

I bought a case of each last time, and then a few more packs in the store... I am not looking forward to the prospect of buying entire cases twice a year... or at least my wallet isn't ...

EXACTLY. I mean, once a year is hard enough... TWICE?!

I think it would be a good idea to make a trade thread for these... I bought 4 more yesterday... And FINALLY got another cavewoman!

Tahra,
Glad you got another cavewoman! I only have two since I sent you my third one; she is one of my favorites, too. I will keep my eyes open for her. Maybe someone has some spares they will trade you. Good luck, Pgal

Trading could work, but there are still some 'undesirables."  Still, of the 6 I opened, I got two blue knights. I had no interest in those, but I know someone wanted those very ones. But, I'm not sure that anyone would be interested in a few of the figures with the trophy. Still, I could be wrong. I did see that there is a woman with a trophy in one of the upcoming sets.
Still, I vote that we give it a try.

BUT, It should be one-for-one.  No "3 of those for 1 of these.".  The only charge should be for  difference in shipping.

For those that bought a whole case, did you end up with at least two full sets or were they completely random?  Has anyone listed their case compositions?
I wonder if some fi?ures were less produced (chase figures) than others?

I bought 9 blue packages and ended up with:
2x #10
1x #12
2x #7
2x #2
1x #5
1x #9

I also wonder what the stores do with the displays once the items are sold out?

I'm sure the displays are dealer-owned, as usual... in other words, when they are finished, they have to send them back to playmobil, and can't keep or sell them.

I think the best idea yet is if they would sell a full set of each series online so a collector who wants one of each could get at least that. There are a few I really don't want, like the witch, but parts of them would be useful for customizing. it would be the easiest way for us to get them all. Doesn't help with building armies, though.

In my case of each I got 4 of each pink figure... but in the blue case I got 7 Uncle Sams... 5 Zorros... and only 1 Boxer... 4 of everything else. :) I have since bought an additional boxer and 2 more cavewomen for myself and a witch for my sister :)
Someday, I will organize my stuff, I promise.

I think it is fine to have them be a surprise for the children... but it would be nice of PM to make "known" surprise figures available through their website for people who don't want to be surprised... or even just in the sets of 12 to make sure you get them all... then guess at multiples of the ones you want... I bought a case of each last time, and then a few more packs in the store... I am not looking forward to the prospect of buying entire cases twice a year... or at least my wallet isn't ...

lol! But the idea of surprise is exactly that people shouldn't know what's inside! :P
Anyway, if they give codes, children will have access to them all the same. It's risky for the playing as a whole ...

I don't know. I think it's an interesting thing. But then, I'm not a very .. how to say? As a collector, I'm not the kind of guy who will want to get everything, or some huge amount of a particular item. I agree that, for most people here, this surprise idea isn't very cool ... ::)

I haven't bought any yet as I have only seen one australian sellers and eBay prices with shipping costs make them an expensive exercise. I would like to know what I am getting too as I don't like a lot of them ( ie. uncle Sam).
