Did the figures sell for $2.99 in the US? I was just at TRU and now they want $3.99  :eh?: >:(

I really hope this is a mistake and not a trend

Yeah... I meant to mention that. I was there this week and they're 3.99! :-\ They used to be 2.99. They did have a buy 2 get the third free sale on all playmobil, so I was wondering if they just raised the price for the sale.

I have bought all mine for 2.99. I went to TRU the other day and they were 3.99. Didn't get to buy any because the debit card machine was down.

 :hissyfit: I was hoping this was a mistake to our location  :'( Now they are more than the boxed specials. I hope the other retailers do not follow suit or Geobra does not raise the recommended retail price on the item now that they are getting better reviews from Collectors

Since I started buying a few weeks ago, they were $3.99 here.

are they really going to call the 'famous' figures that? I mean, will we see them on the catalogs / ads as "Lady Gaga", "Elvis", "Lara Croft" etc???
PM has never done that, even with the fairy tale sets they named them differently (i.e. Snow white was called "Sleeping Princess Fairy Tale Set") - it'll be interesting to see what twist the names of sets take with these figures

I don't think they would risk the lawsuits or licensing issues by calling them by their "real names". They might refer to Lady Gaga as "Pop Singer" or something along those lines.  8-)
