I would prefer to get Playmo....not mails asking for pics.
We are paying for that stuff.....

They should sell it all across the world and ebay would not see such crazy prices....

Rainer i second that!!!

Same thoughts here. After all why to know if we are collectors? they do not care about collectorsat all !!!

Sometimes i wish my collection would be LEGO!!!

I dont share your view at all angelo. Remember the support etc etc we have had from Playmobil Greece and the relationship we have built the past 2 years . I think its very unfair to say this Sir and i would advice to retract your statement as i think can damage our excellent relatioship with playmobil greece, something on a personal level i like to think I have tried  hard to built in the  past 3 years and on many occasions to achieve this i bought many sets and items not from ebay but from playmolil greece and I am proud to say i have made some contribution to get the DS orders . I think we should be all thnakfull for the relatioship and support we have from Playmobil Greece Sir !!!!!!

Exactly...

IF they cared about the secondary market, they could replace it. They don't give a darn about it, or customers out or Germany.

It makes me very very sad. I LOVE playmobil. Really. But it's sad that they treat us like that, and are SO FREAKIN clueless. And that they don't like money.

There's real concern at Playmobil headquarters about resellers on eBay and elsewhere. I don't know any details about what all is behind their concern. Fortunately the collecting community and Playmobil have come up with a solution that makes everyone happy.

SO far I have only heard of this happening with German buyers. Are people from other countries being asked the question also?

Funnily enough, yes. Yesterday I contacted PM Malta and they said they would be interested in learning more about my collecting.

It's hard to know the reason for which they sent this email.

Maybe they would like to know the reason for which some people buy a lot of Playmobil. Perhaps, they want to have a knowledge of the number of Playmobil collectors. For them, if you buy a lot, it certainely means that you are a collector. But they want to have a proove to indicate in their database the new status of  official "COLLECTOR" ... I doubt that they wil give a discount to the collector.....In the mail sent you can read "These pictures and a hint "collector" will be added to your customer database."

In France,  store is not allowed to refuse to sell something, what ever the quantity is. For example, if i want to buy 1000 playmobil soldier at Playmobil France, they will have to sell them, they can ask why! But they have to sell them, except if they are out of stock....even in that case they have to provie you with similar or more expensive item...as long as it is not written "limited quantity per order" it means that you buy the quantity you want.

The problem they can have with "huge" quantity of order, is the shipping cost. In France it's something like 6€....So if you order 50kg of Playmobil it will cost them more than 6€....so they lost money......
Like electricity, Playmobil are essential for humanity

Well, that probably means that in the gazillion smaller orders they MAKE money... They don't set the shipping costs to lose money... They must have contracts with those companies.

Whenever we buy stuff from playmobil hellas we have to pay postage cost for up to 50 euros worth of items. if the total cost of the items is more than 50 then postage is free. for our ds orders that are placed in playmobil hellas but procesed by, payed to, and send from germany, we have to pay the shipping cost which s usually around 17 euros. not to mention we alos have to pay any bank fee that is 35 euros... But as angelo says, playmobil hellas has vouched to germany for us greek collectors. I think its harsh to say, at least for playmobil hellas, that they do not care for collectors. We worked really hard to achieve a proper ds service and we need to be thankful for that. Yes on their behalf, there should be no limitations to our orders but we can't have it all. Its a big step that playmobil hellas has recognised us as collectors and helps us even in this way.

Just for clarification: My last order at german DS was in July 2011 and it was below 100,-€.....Is this a huge buy?
The one before in May/June, same amount.....

I would not name such orders huge orders. I know collectors which are buying for 200,-and more Euros each time....

Well, I think considering this service is mostly set up for replacing the occasssional damaged part recieved in a set, geobra would consider even a $50 order to be "huge."

In the end, we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.

One windmill is 14,99€, one watertower 19,99€, means two parts are 35,00 €
one barrel is 3,99.....

My orders mostly containing additional sets , spare parts are the smallest amount on the bill.....
