Rhallus,

Your idea of a PM museum full of old PM items is a brilliant one!  ;D ;D ;D

While many here would put it in an old style building, I would prefer it in a building that is very modern and open, like the Getty Center (www.getty.edu/) in Los Angeles. This could easily be done with Sys X.

And in the alternative, maybe they could offer an old style museum building for those preferring that look (like the Louvre).

Then we could fill each room with an old theme like they do at real life museums that have large enough collections to theme each room. The Egyptian collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC comes to mind and could easily be done with PM Egyptian pieces.

And they could still have rooms full of portraits maybe with different sizes of frames and stickers so that we could choose what kind of art to put on the walls. There is a room full of large oil paintings of Venice with its lovely canals and scenes from the 1500-1700 period at the Getty, and this could easily be copied with PM. I will try to add some photos of this room from my visit there last week.

It will fun to see the ideas of others for rooms in a museum using PM! Pgal

I totally agree - and I think that a modern building would be best. I actually think that there are hundreds of PM pieces that could be used in this set.

A number of us have done museum scenes in the past. It's a fun idea and would be very interesting to see what they would come up with.

My sculpture Museum from around 2008

Tim,

That is incredible! I adore the sculpture. Where do you find the white heads?
It is a magical photo that gives us many ideas of what a museum room could look like.

I would build a peaceful garden around my museum, too. With lots of outdoor sculpture like there is at one of my favorites, Storm King just north of NYC (www.stormkingartcenter.org).

Have you done other museum rooms? Thanks, Pgal

I am not the first to do one, I know there have been a couple of really good ones for the big shows.
Here is the full thing. I had one floor for Viking era, one with dinosaurs, and the sculpture. There is a Bunnylady giving a tour for a group of piglet schoolchildren.

There are a few items on the dino floor that aren't Playmo but fit in well.
