Excellent, Emma, you've caught the look and the feel of the Rows perfectly.

We once had a long weekend on Chester staying at a hotel just inside the city walls near one of the gates,  We visited the Rows, of course, and the thing I most remember about them apart from the overall impression was the noise from people talking and the sound of people walking on the wooden planks.  The buildings seemed to magnify any sounds, and the noise of voices reminded me of the noise of flocks of starlings coming in to roost at sunset.

Wow Emma - another great diorama. The detail is wonderful - love the pigs head over the shop sign, the fabric bolts and the activity! It looks alive and bustling. Great job.

 Thank you friends as always your kind comments give me a boost.

I really liked this project, I wanted to recreate as Playmofire says the hustle and bustle of theses shops all crammed in together. The real ones are just great to walk around with the slopping wood floors and wonderful wood carvings. It's amazing that such old buildings have survived so well in such constant use.

I've managed to create a small 1x2m diorama table in one room and I now have the shops set up there with my Tudor hall. I'm hoping to have it finished by Christmas so I can share it all with you. Thanks to Skywalker for his excellent dioramas that have inspired me so much.

  Hi Amd,
I usually just email them a list through their contacts page on Playmobil. My only problem is not knowing whats out of stock until my order arrives.  ???

Hi Emma,

Fantastic job! I lived in Chester for about six months (11 years ago), and you have indeed captured the look and feel of the Rows very, very well. As others have said, your attention to detail and humour are second to none!

Was that a bottle of poison I saw available in one shop?  :o ???

Cheers,

AndrewL
