What is your favourite theme to collect and why

My favorite theme, by far, is medieval. I think there is just something charming about it. Like all other themes, it leaves a lot to the imagination for creative play. I also really like the Romans and Egyptian themes. Christmas is also my favorite because it is such a fun way to incorporate something I love into my favorite holiday. Nothing shows Christmas spirit like a klicky 

I agree.  There is a certain charm to it. I fear they have lost it though with the newer medieval sets. It's like they tried to separate it too much (from the princess sets) and tried to make it too stereotypically boyish.

Hmmm, I see the arguments for the medieval sets, but still don't get it.
Dark ages are not my favorite I guess.  sorry guys

i voted fire brigade. well itswas my dream since young to be fireman, but its impossible to be here in malta..... long story........ but on the other hand i built a department of my own fully with units branches sections and ranks.
well with my job i have loads of work in connection with the fire rescue so atleast ........

anyways i love that theme most and always trying to make it bigger and expand in new branches and so....

But also Medieval and Victorian / Dollhouse / Western / Specials / etc..., as long as everthing can be used for settings situated in the period 1492 (discovery of the Americas by Columbus) to 1805 (seabattle of Trafalgar), with a possible slight extention to 1815 (battle of Waterloo).

Not surprised to see that in the answers to my original question , medieval came first . And i find this quite interesting actually. One would also say that more time and money and sets and new systems ( x, clip etc ) have been designed for this theme. I wonder now what are the reasons for medieval themes being so popular, there must be some reason(s) probably linked to psychology etc etc, very curious as to why !!!!!

But if one counts all votes for the different modern themes together, the combined-modern-times-theme wins with a big bang...

edit: though when all historic themes (Stone Age, Egyptians, Romans, Medieval, Pirates, Western and Victorian) are counted together, the result is more balanced
