Kirkbean Circus. School and pirates
« on: September 09, 2011, 20:15:34 »
Some more photos folks!
I didn't take many of the pirate scene, but it was only a small diorama with not a lot going on really.  I'd like to have made much more of this (I have loads of pirates!) but time ran out, and I had to leave it to Sandy to do.

Thank you to Mark for the loan of the lighthouse.

The circus diorama was similar to the one I did at Knaresborough but I had added an extra big top since then...thanks go again to Damo and his Mum Lyn for adding the klickies!  I had set the circus rings and tents up on Tuesday morning meaning to get back and add all the details later, but Friday night came and I was still doing other things, so they took over for me.

Can you spot Wally in the portaloo?  Visitors had to find him and he moved around at various times...

Walter (walts-trains) kindly fixed the lights in the circus tents so they would stay on all the time until the batteries were removed.

The school was furnished and klickies added by James as he wanted to recreate his own school and teachers!  It had a few extras added later.
The gym was extended from the original building using two gyms, with a third being added to make it larger.

The canteen attached to the school was made using yet another gym building.
I don't seem to have a photo from the front, just a back view...

art room...

entrance hall/toilets with the two janitors...

home economics...

music...

staff room...

woodwork...

maths class...

history/geography class...

Rural skills area showing the front of the gym...

On Sunday evening we all stayed at the hall and had a Chinese meal.  While we were talking, Junior wandered around and next day we noticed that various things had been added or changed around, including the addition of this cat in the school garden   ;D

Just Hogwarts photos to post now, I'll do that in a seperate thread.

Sorry, I'd forgotten that, :-[
I was so busy running around trying to do ten things at once that I lost track of who was doing what, I just remember your mum asking me about something to do with the circus performers.
so apologies Walter and Marion and  :thanks:

That cat is excellent, very clever and realistic. Some great displays there. It must be nice to be able to get so many themes out of the closet at once.

Great pics Elaine... the school is really awesome! I need to spend much more time drooling over these later. But I really love the expanded gym, and the gardens. SO much going on there!
