Playmofire-Gordon, did you mention Village People the other day?  :)

hey BB! speedo dad has to keep up with his runaway daughter!

....maybe I should give him a more fanciful pair of trousers like the zorro from the ??figures  ;)

PERFECTO!!! Hahahah! Keep up the fabulous customs, cheng!
Can't wait for the next installment!
Did you live outside of Malaysia for a while to acquire such a large dose of Western culture, or did you catch this from overexposure to TV and movies? Or you work in the media.....Pgal

....unlike today's malaysian kids, except for learning the Malay language, i had all my schooling in English. dont watch much tv nor movies since i preferred sports and other hobbies...have spent many long holidays in oz....am a boring accountant by profession...didnt have any other choice back then  :P
now very very slowly making up for my lacking in the chinese language, i rather watch chinese shows than desperate housewives or CSI

I think Speedo Dad looks great as anything...sorry you have only one. That is all I have...he came with the large pool. Love your customs!

Good luck learning Chinese...at least you have been around it all your life. We don't do TV in our house and survive fine without it. It is a shame how much time folks waste on it when they could be doing something creative....like building Klickies! Cheers, Pgal

....am a boring accountant by profession...

I loved accounts back in school, but the staffing didn't allow me to continue it to exam level.  I found it very satisfying spending an afternoon in accounts starting with opening balances and working through a year's trading and, hopefully, ending with a full set of correct balances at the end.  Very satisfying!   :)

In my last job, I once asked our Director of Finance who was an accountant and a most unpleasant man, if he know the difference between an accountant and a statistician.  "No," he replied, "What is it?"  "An accountant is a mathematician who didn't have the charisma to be a statistician", I answered.

Eventually he laughed!

Pgal, I'm one of those few who agree tv is a waste of time except when watching natinal geographics  ;)

.....correct balances at the end.  Very satisfying!   :)

...an accountant and a most unpleasant man....Eventually he laughed!

I was a science stream student up to A levels and never touched even book keeping, so debits and credits were a nightmare ....and i couldnt figure out why they balanced eventually (confused by those 'control accounts' ;D) ...these days, with computers, they dont have to stay till mid-night to find the missing 1 cent  ;D)

(mod, please let me digress with this one last point) I often wondered if a nasty child chose to take up accountancy or accounting duties eventually create monsters  (any real life experience out there?) I found fellow accountants, auditors and my assistant accountants were socially unpleasant (if there's such a word) and I left them and never regretted (still very useful wherever we move to)
