Announcement FAQ Railway

Hi,

I´ve started to translate the german FAQs.
I will post them in a seperate thread.
Please do not post in the FAQ-thread to keep it readable.

As requested from zugpferdchen the FAQ also contains the german version.
I´ve added some information to make some things clearer or if newer informations have been available.

Due to the fact that I am not a native speaker nor I´ve studied English as foreign language, please feel free to send me a mail with your corrections.

I know that often the connotation can make a big difference....

A couple of points.  The LGB track is brass, very robust and made for indoor and outdoor use.  Playmobil even made an outdoor extension for the power supply - http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4358

There are a number of reasons playmobil went to battery operated trains and plastic tracks.  Foremost is saftey, having electrified rails, power supplies, and cords could cause problems.  The other big problem was layouts, you can't loop the track back onto itself, see cataloge page below with the big red X.   Also, LGB track was increasing in price and what does Playmobil do best? make plastic parts.
