BINGO BINGO BINGO  ;D
Gaston, WolfKnight & Gordon!

WK, your comment "that helmet is the only one that can sit on a klicky head like that"...my respects!!
that's exactly why I picked it....they often wore them tipped forward...very unique  :)

I took these photos last night wondering why you experts would need more clues  :P
....if I told you how many hours, you wouldnt believe...I had to hand sand by turning it like a lathe to keep it perfectly round and smooth....and keep stopping to check its contour....the slope must be just right....no room for over cutting   :( ( (I need a profusely sweating smiley)

...and BB, now youve aroused my curiosity! does anyone have a close up eye-level side photo of this blue female hat to share?

I swore never to custom another such british steel hat  :'(

Here you are, cheng:

I'm pretty sure I have this in yellow, too, but I can't figure out what it came with or where it is. ???

thanks BB!
a very sweet hat...very nice blue too!
never seen one like this...would be too precious to sand down  :P
(this is invaluable! ....how about submitting a photo of just this cap and the girl, if she's original, to Heather even though we dont have its ETN? the man's blue cap and those green police-like caps in set 3145 look unusual too!)

Yeah, I guess I could send her some pics from this set, though some of the figures have been disassembled. Wish I still had the instructions from this old set.

Wow Cheng! I'm stunned! I never thought  ???this flared bell helmet was thick enough to be sanded down this much! Congrats!
Now, your desert is turning over-crowded with two Englishmen…  ;D
Best,
Arnaud

PS: why wouldn't you cast a few of these? You'd spare yourself the hard work.

Amazing! :o
I really love these two. I'm glad you took another picture with the other guy,
The first pic was to fuzzy to fully appreciate the idea. :)
They look superb! Do they have a troop? ;)

1 made one at a time and added a third one last night but nothing to shout about...so I did not take a new photo....I was torn between letting him wear a pith hat or a 'canadian' beret or an 'aussie' bush hat...what's your opinion WoT?

What year(s) or era are you trying to make them appropriate for?  WW2?  WW1?  Pre-WW1 Colonial period?  Post WW2?
