@ Luciano: Thanks! Yeah, I can only keep it up for two weeks. But setting it up is the fun part, anyway! So I'll get to do it again differently next time. ;D And I have a really really organized system of storing things, so that makes setting it up a lot easier.

@ Verity: Thank you! I have a lot of fun looking at all different themes to spot things I can use in my zoo. 8-)

Yes, it's painted to be a bronze statue. I need to find something to use for a pedestal for it.

No seriously, it's becoming common at zoos around here. The beautiful beautiful beautiful BEAUTIFUL new african exhibit at the Dallas Zoo (seriously it's AWESOME) has a giraffe feeding station similar to this one where you can buy romaine lettuce leaves to feed the giraffes... for $4! :o And the Houston Zoo also has a giraffe feeding station. It's a nice way to interact with them up close. And they are such peaceful, gentle animals, with long eyelashes and beautiful long purple tongues that they wrap around the leaves. :love: I've fed giraffes pellets out of my hand before, and their soft little lips tickle your hand. I love giraffes... :cloud9:

:) That's a good idea... And I suppose the stupid prices are at least this time put to good use.  ;D

Yes, most zoos are non-profit, so the prices of that and gifts and concessions all goes towards better care for the animals. That makes it a little easier to put up with the ridiculous prices of food and drinks!
