my first (Chinese) Han soldier
« on: August 01, 2011, 01:40:15 »
after the Qin Dynasty (during which the Terracotta army was built),
came the Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 220 CE), the golden age in Chinese history,
and here's my first Han soldier (not to be confused with Atila's "Huns")
I'm still trying to figure out how to make their headcovers :P

Also not to be confused with Han Solo! ;D

Don't you have a pic of these head overs?
Nice custom, my friend, although his moustache is askew.  :-[

Excellent already. I hope you find a solution for the hair cover.

There is a white scarf that is open on the rear. Or maybe http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-05-6200 if it can be found somewhere. It might fit better then the red one while being depicted in the last of your reference pictures.
@geobra: Thanks a lot! :-)

(i was going to cut (yes!  :P ) the armor to accomodate the white loose scarve you suggested..thanks micheal!)

I don't have any idea for such hat but, I have just found this part I've seen several times on Asian customs: http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?mode=view&partnum=30+05+9030&pics=on
Not my idea, but when you reverse it (the bow at the back), it looks really cool on warriors, IMO.
It's also available in dark pink.
Since it's been used in several sets (it's a headband for a maid), I guess it might still be available from DS.

@WoT: what is the soldier in the first picture you posted holding in his left hand? Some kind of shield I reckon, but it looks like it has arms like a bow??? Any hint?
Best,
Arnaud
