The man with the horse there is going against the usual direction of movement isn’t he Sir Edward?

He is indeed Vanidel, that’s the Groundsman out smoothing down the track after the last practice sessions. The horses can really tear up a surface, and the Groundsman must go out and smooth things down every so often to keep the track a good surface for the continuing rounds.

Perhaps I can get a word with him, and maybe hear a thing or two about how the knights have been looking in practice so far.

Hello Groundsman! It looks like you’ve got quite the contraption there, it must be hard work keeping things running smoothly around here.

Quite the friendly horse you have there, he’s doing a fine job of pulling the smoothing contraption about.

Certainly Vanidel, we’re quite pleased with how well things are looking. We’ve had no problems with rule breakers or malcontents, just good clean fun.

Could you give us a brief run down on how scoring will be calculated for the Marketon Joust?

Yes of course, it’s not too difficult. There are two ways to win a match either by unseating your opponent, or by being the first to score 3 points. Points are scored by striking your opponent in some way. One point is scored for a hit to the shield, two for a strike to the body or head, and 3 for an unseating. A miss scores nothing of course.
