Wow, it all looks so great! Those are some great finds, Birdie. And i may copy with slight adaptations your idea of attaching the sunroom to the vacation house. I don't have any houses yet except the vacation house, but I do have the conservatory, so I may attach them and add a few pieces and see what I can come up with! ;D

In the end, we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.

Good luck, I hope to see pictures when you've finished  :)

@ tonguello: I used potting soil  ;D It was a bit too dark when I first put it down, but as the soil dried, it looked better. When the soil dries, it will crack a little, so you'll have to fill the cracks up a few days later.

@ Tiermann: The sunporch is actually supposed to be attached to the other side, so that will fit nicely.
The sandy textured plastic is not sanding paper in any case. It's not that rough at the touch at all. My best guess is that it's used as some sort of vinyl flooring. I think it will remain a mystery   :sherlock:

Great village Birdie and like the others have said the extra elements really bring everything to life.

Where did you find the "sandy textured plastic" do you maybe have a brand name or something. it would be very usefull for some of the stuff I am working on as well :-)

Well, I found it in Brico (I don't know if they have it in the Netherlands, but in Belgium there's a Brico next to nearly every Carrefour. Just your regular large DIY store.

I don't have a brand name. It came on a big roll and they sell it by the meter. It's thick black plastic on one side and sand on the other.
I would be happy to go and look for it if you can't find any. I'm afraid it is a tad expensive though (2 meter op een halve meter voor 30 euro -> can't really translate this  :-[).

Birdie.
I love the way you combined sets from so many themes into a modern diorama! And the natural elements you added really make it come to life.
Had not thought of adding a conservatory to my two summer houses; that looks wonderful and makes them larger, which is great because they are too small out of the box.
Way to go, Pgal
After two decades of male toys (esp. Lego and PM) in our house, it is time to build something for us women!

Great diorama, I like all those little details that make the place really come alive, the way the clickies seem to really interact with each other.
