I picked up 3255 today at my local toy store; did not know it was still available. Checked on PM USA, and it is there, too, at 90USD also. Couple of questions...

Have they changed 3255 from the earlier versions, and if so, in what ways? I don't own an older version and have never seen one close up.

Does anyone know what the original price was in the US? 90USD seems a bit steep for this few pieces. It would seem that they would sell a lot more at 70-75USD, especially when compared with the 140USD price of the 5302 Grande Mansion.

Were there ever more than two Clickies with this set (Mr. and Ms. Noah are it for now.)

Were there ever any add on sets to the Ark, or did it stand alone?

Does the engine kit really work? Who has tried it in water?

I like the built set and am trying to figure out what to add to it if anything.

Cheers, Pgal

After two decades of male toys (esp. Lego and PM) in our house, it is time to build something for us women!

Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention! I had no idea this was still available on PM USA! How could I miss it? Did you search specifically for it, or find it while browsing? I've been considering spending more for this set on ebay.

Sorry, I can't answer any of you questions. I'd be interested in the answers too.

HI! I was thinking about getting it, but the prices on eBay were too high. Then I happened to see it in our local toystore, and it looked wonderful! SO I bought it and built it tonight.

It is a very nice toy. I am glad they finally had a large set I wanted at the local store because they carry the full line, and my 5302 arrived from PM USA before theirs did. Was surprised when I saw it in the PM catalog tonight, but happy I bought locally.

Maybe someone who has had it for a long time can answer some of our questions!

Music note: Great score for building this set is Creation by Christopher Young.

Congratulations on both Noah's Ark and 5302. These are two sets that I want very much!

Would love to see some interior shots of the Ark if you have a chance. I think I've heard that it's on wheels. Is this correct?

What I can't stand on that set is the "booklet" thing with that horrid story.. Have a review (or was it a rant?) written for playkingdoms for YEARS, but never got around to take the pics (as usual).

The box (and the boat) are quite large and heavy if you decide to carry this home from the store. The box alone is 23 x 19 x 6 inches (59 x 50 x 16 cm approx); the boat is 20 x 10 x 8 in. stripped (52 x 26 x 21 cm.) You may want to order it and let someone else deliver to your door! Luckily my car has a large trunk because I just upgraded from a lovely sports car (2006 Acura RSX-pristine manual, flies like a batouttahell!)...all the better to haul more PM from the Fun Park and other stores!

Here are a few more photos of the contents. This is my first large set of animals, and hooweeeee, this is going to be a lot of fun playing with! Forget the kids and get one for yourself! ;D ;D ;D

PM-BIG THANKS FOR PUTTING THIS ONE BACK ON THE MARKET!!!!

Cheerio, Pgal

It is now built and gracing our kitchen table. Wish we could climb on this ark and go for a short sail...will pass on the 40 day one!

The animals are sooooooo coooooooooollllll! Do you think they would like our breakfast of yogurt, fresh blackberries and granola?

Here are some more pics for you animal fans out there....bonniebeth, hope this makes your breakfast better, too!

The last pics are below. I adore Mr. and Ms. Noah!

Hope DS has some in stock. I did find a couple on eBay.de, and my German is improving by the minute since hubby is out of town today and can't translate. Could they just put a *&&^$$&()(&%$##@ English button on that site so we illiterates could buy more stuff without so much aggravation?

Anyway enjoy the pics and yup, run, don't walk to the nearest toystore that carries this baby or get one online....but I would not wait around because they are quite pricey on eBay.

They claim that PM are made for kids, but I disagree. No kid could appreciate the fine detail and craftsmanship in these toys. Let them play with sticks and stones and make and eat mudpies like we did and leave the serious toys to us "adults!" ;D ;D ;D

Cheers, Pgal  (my right arm is tired from waving....anyone got a left one waving?)

Wow, thanks for showing close-ups of this set! I've thought about getting it for a long time, it's pretty cool! Nice to see all the animals safe. :P I had no idea this was still available on the website either. I directly searched it and it came uo, but I haven't come across it browsing, I wonder what category it's under? Or maybe there aree other "hidden sets" on the website. ;D Anyway, thanks for sharing, and maybe you should give that waving arm a rest! ;)

Completely agree. Keep them FAR away from playmobil. Especially the idiots with markers!  >:(
