Good evening dear Friends

Important Annoucement to all my Friends in the Forum !

You all know by now that I will recreate the outside decors of Regent St and the Grand Gardens of the Mansion which I would like to enlarge slightly and that it will take some time to complete, though much faster and easier since I have the original Making Of thread and above all the references of all the building materials I purchased and used a few years ago. I will continue the original Making Of thread to show the step by step recreation of the decors.

But now is the part where you, dear Friends have a chance to step back into the project again as I would like to create a less formal 3rd Chapter with funny moments as well as darker moments and I will need your creative talents and expertise in creating customs to either help me with building specific elements of the decor or creating your own mini masterpieces which I will purchase from you including all post & packaging fees at an excellent price as I have budgeted accordingly  ;)

Elements in which I will need your help to accompany me through the building of the decor :

1/ creating an indoor swimming pool for a specific scene

2/ creating a corridor with multiple bedrooms doors such as in a Grand Hotel for a specific scene

3/ creating a dressing room with jewels presented under glass cases

4/ creating a scene in which a lady is taking her bubble bath with a leg up in the air. I will need a figure that stands in the bath with a leg up and the bubble bath effect which I need to research.

Elements in which I will need specially made customs involving vehicles :

1/ A Two Seater Old Timer with a bi colour paint ( paint and interior finish to discuss )

2/ A Two Seater Old Timer to the colours of Egypt Explorator Lord Carnavon

3/ One Regular Old Timer Cars with a bi colour paint ( pain and interior finish to discuss )

4/ One Old Timer Car extended "A la Cruella Devil" for a specific character

5/ One Old Timer Truck customized as a Van Cleef & Arpels Jeweller Van

6/ One Old Timer Truck customized as a Charles Worth Dressmaker Van

7/ A Red Double Decker Bus drawn by two horses

8/ A Hot Air Baloon or a Steampunk Engine for two persons

Elements in which I will need specially made customs involving figures :

1/ Lord Carnavon, the Egypt Explorator

2 / Lord Carnavon's Egyptian Servant

3/ Luella Parsons, the evil Gossip Column Lady which I would like to be dressed in black and evil "à la Cruella Devil"

4/ The photographer assistant to Luella, also with an evil grin on his face

5/ The Flamboyant Charles Worth, Couturier Extraordinaire of the era with a character dressed in a pink tuxedo and gold jewellery

6/ A cat burglar Lady which I would like to be like Cat Woman, mysterious and dressed in black

7/ Victorian builders to build the stage of the "3 Musketeers" play

8/ Mr Van Cleef Jeweller and one security guard

9/ Mr JP Morgan owner of the White Star Line

10/ A couple of Glamour Model Ladies dressed in underwear with an eye winking and bright red lips

11/ The Great Chef Escoffier

12/ Cesar Ritz the Hotel Magnate

If the idea appeals to you, please do let me know  ;) I believe that if everything goes according to plan the 3rd chapter should start by the end of January beginning of February so we all have plenty of time to prepare it at our own pace.

I know that a lot of you are involved in your own dioramas, exhibitions or even special commissions which is the reason why I wish to give you as much time as possible to think about it and possibly join in the project.

I repeat that I have budgeted accordingly and that I will pay each custom creations to an excellent price including the posting and packaging.

I will definitely come back to you soon with a few more ideas but the above elements are already giving you a flavor of how I see the 3rd chapter of the Summer Garden Party on Regent St  ;)

Thank you very much  :)

That sounds like such an exciting project! I don't know if I have the customizing talent to get involved myself, but I can't wait to see how this turns out!

I think this is a wonderful idea to involve members of the forum.
There are so many members here who are talented in making customs so I do hope they will help.
I would like to help with some of the figures - I think they would be great fun to do.

I, too, think this is a great idea and a good opportunity to involve other members.  However, I wonder if starting a new thread for this element of the story would be a good idea?

Yes, it might be good to start a new thread, especially since some may miss this discussion otherwise. Karim, would you like me to split off this new discussion and make it into a new topic? If so, let me know what you would like the title of the new topic to be.

This is such an exciting endeavor, Karim!   I love the idea of involving the talent of members here at PF to see it through.
