I'm not an expert, I have none of the metal ones, but as far as I know, the playmobil metal rails WERE LGB rails.

I think you're right, tahra, they were LGB rails.

Can't wait to see it all set up and running, George!

Here are pictures so far of the high back mountain station as it is so far, still havebnt used a few remaining tracks , the other 3 passenger wagons and of course the 4052 train which is more powerful. I set the Jumbo unit at a max of 14V and the train is gpoing fine. At the dirt part where the tracks are over some stones and there is a bridge , the train slows down a bit but still going fine. Need to bring a train station too to mnake it all a bit better and a water tank ( currentlyh reaserved for the western diorama though ) .Anyways, this was my very first attempt , tommorrow after some cosmetic improvements will put in the 4052 and take some more photos and a video before going back to the middle ages ( my mediaval diorama ). Verty hapy with the Jumbo unit i must say. I have estimated i need another 25m of track to extend to other parts of the garden , outdoors ,also anoter 4-5 bridges similar to the one i got probablu, but will give it a lot fo thought before deciding the layout . anyways, here is my bery first attempt !!!!

Hi George,

you should use more flat stones to underlay the tracks on the earth, otherwise the plastic noses which are fixing the rail to the trach can be damage due to the weight.

PS:  Nice layout!

Amaing collection, George! - So much track!

I'm not an expert, I have none of the metal ones, but as far as I know, the playmobil metal rails WERE LGB rails.

Playmobil took a lot of LGB track sets/transformers etc and either packaged them as their own, or labelled them as Playmobil

Damo :)
