Long dresses (ending somewhere between the knee and ankle) were quite common for men in medieval times, and before.
Playmobil uses these longskirts f.e. for the 3 Wise Kings in the recent set 4886 and older similar sets.

I especially live using the long tunics too. :)

Some Crusaders, a Templar and a Saracen (Arab) knight...

Just one little fix... :-[
The second person in those pictures there is not a Templar.
Templars only wore red crosses,
Through there were some in black as well as white tunics,
they were the Templar sergeants.

The person you have here is a Teutonic Knight.
Made popular for their campaigns in the Baltic region,
there were also Teutonic Knights in the Holy Land,
Though they didn't have the same power or influence as the Templars or Hospitilars. :)
