wii

It's a gaming console, with a motion sensitive control... Tried it once at a friend's house... But she only had... peaceful games. I need a shooting game to make it interesting... Or a playmogame! :)

oh !!  ;)

I frequent Target stores and I haven't seen Playmobil there in months, if not a year.  I'm guessing Toys 'R Us will carry this set.

Ditto. Target pulled all their Playmobil fropm the shelves months ago, in both the Springfield and Eugene stores. I have stopped going into Target for anything since, unless I happen to be in the same Mall and want to be disappointed.

Regarding the Wii - the price has dropped dramatically since Christmas. It used to retail at $200 for the console, but you can now get it for $150, including the Mario Cart game which is normally $50 by itself. Nintendo are focussing their attention on their next generation console, the "Wii U".

Some targets have no playmobil, and some carry quite a bit, including US exclusives. I can't seem to see any reason for this, but I know the target by me has absolutely none, and hasn't for some time, but the other target in town has half an aisle of it.

Just a little info in case anyone is wondering still... the 5950 is marked made in china... but don't believe everything you read, there are a lot of labeling rules... it is my opinion that the majority of the set is European in origin, and mostly "pre-assembled for mass market" in china, but because the last process happens there, it gets that label.

Also it has actual cloth sails not the paper-cloth we are used to.

Also the 5948 is marked made in spain... you know the one with the red booties :)

Reasons for believing the 5950 is only assembled in china...
The plastic is a lot heavier and thicker that the base of the bus... which is molded in china...
It is a different mold for a hull entirely no just a modified dingy as i expected...
There are several pieces that come screwed on so putting the ship together takes about 5 minutes instead of half an hour, so it looks like the are outsourcing the "put it together fun" more than the overall quality.

If any of it is molded in china... its the deck... but the rest feels right. Hope this helps... and i don't get in too much trouble for sneaking into the box  ::) the wife need not find out...
Someday, I will organize my stuff, I promise.

Interesting point. I've been wondering about that.... if it says made in china, how much of it was made in china? Because I really doubt that the klickys are made in china, I'm sure they are shipped to the factory there to be included.

Honestly: what's the problem if it's made in China? Or Germany? Or Uzbekistan?
I personally really don't care, as long as it has quality.
Cheers!
