That's actually the thing I meant    Those silvery strips go inside the hood. But refuse to stay there 

Of course, your 3666 can have a place in this too, as the centre piece overlooking the flourishing shopping area you're creating.  You could call it the Castle Square Shopping Centre.

It could, if I had the space to put it ... Mu current castle takes up the entire diningtable and there's absolutely no more room to put the shops around it. Actually, the shelf I use for the shops is actually a few millimeters too short. The pavement sticks out a little bit

I love these    what a wonderful street. 
I would like to borrow this idea for my street at Kirkbean Exhibition - I've always thought the seperate shops seemed strange.

The thing in the hairdressers set (with the stickers that fall off) is called a mobile hair processor or steamer! - or so I believe!

What a wonderful job, Mark.  I am not that familiar with System X, so I had no idea that you could attach the shops in that way!  It is super and so many details to keep it interesting.  You see something new all the time.   
I got that hairdryer part in an eBay lot and had no idea what it was from . . . I thought it went with the space theme, some kind of torture device or brain washer.

Great looking shops Mark. I think with a flower shop you aren't going to be able to keep those shelves together the way they are in the set. Flowers would be a good thing for a kiosk, or an open corner. More like the Victorian series than the modern shop ones in layout.

You have done a wonderful job connecting the shops and making them come to life! The pet shop looks promising, too.

It is hard finding a building that can handle a lot of shops. I bought five 3988's and am combining them into a shopping boutique. The last two large floor baseplates should arrive next week, and allow me to finish the upper floor. System X can handle shops like this, but finding enough parts is a challenge.

It is so entertaining playing with shops and the Klickies making the rounds. So glad PM still offers these kits. The hair salon is a tough find these days. On my wish list is anyone is about to get rid of one.

They look really great! I want them all. Here we go with another theme. I've been looking at these for a long time, but I think you've pushed me over the edge!

They look great!  I don't know about anyone else but I would call them a parade of shops or in the case of my geography teacher a crescent of shops (no-one in my class knew what he was on about so he had to bring one up on google earth  ). 

Anyway, joining them together is a really cool idea.

A time for vertical thinking, Mark!  You convert the castle dungeons into a shopping area, then the shops are on the dining table and the castle is on a board supported on pillars above them!
