Ok the english guard , Kleopatra, the lumberjack, the gladiator, Shrlock holmes, Playmobil has already done these!!! So obviously these were copied from the playmobil specials... they look quite good... one more proof that lego looks after their collectors! but also that they are copying desings.

I would not say they are copying playmonil. But it is quite obvious Lego knows what the market want. They might be lurking around knowing what playmofriends and lego friends want. Twelve specials per year is just too few for people not getting the sets....cooling their playmobil love down in-between the gap months. Sorry for many typos....first time using my ipadon forum....

I think they are more or less bouncing off each other - besides, the target group is quite similar.
So those themes that attract them will be similar too.
Allthough, quite some of that 5th series are indeed already available from Playmobil or will be soon

THANKS. We are also delighted quality of playmobil is still superior comparing to lego. geobra also has not compromised making harry potter and SW sets.

it was a stage of my childhood when i was "sick" of playmobil - the biggest sin of my life maybe
since i played with them and not precisely collected them (i was like 10 back then) i lost some of those sets and the ones left i sold to collectors a few years later

Chris used to collect legos and had tons of complete sets. We sold them all on ebay when he joined the playmobil craze.
