from what material are pm carpets made?

...plus a coating to make it a little stiffer.

This kind of material, at least in Argentina, is called "filter". There are many kinds and believe me.... it is not printable! 
And the paint I think is what gives it the extra stiffnes.

I might have ruined one printer! 

The filters I found around here are good though for curtains. they look almost exactly as the mansion curtains except for the color. Colors are horrible.... so I tried dying them and printing them. Nothing worked. But I have tons of light blue curtains now pretty similar to the original ones

If it's the same as the curtains, would that be felt, I guess? I don't have a mansion, so I haven't actually seen the curtains in person, but they look like felt?
