Emma, I love it :)  very beautiful, as usual.  Are you going to eventually add the spanker sail?  btw, I think you should go all out on the rigging by adding more lines from the bowsprit up to the loops in the main mast and mizzen mast tops, down to the top spanker yard arm, through the bottom yard arm, and fasten it to the stern.  Similarly, if you can add some lines from the ends of the top yard arms of each sail down to the same battens down by the main deck, and then some support lines from the same ends on the top yard arms up to the loops on the top masts.

The way I figure it, your work is so detailed, it would look even more "complete" (from a ship person's point of view) if you added just these few more lines to complete the nautical appearance.

But, it's still a very beautiful sight, even if you don't go all out on the rigging and keep it basic the way playmobil has it.  I love it!

p.s. I just realized, even on my own ships, if you do go all out on rigging, it makes it a task to disassemble for shipping. I guess that might be why you are frugal with the rigging.  I guess your buyer can add the extra lines later as he/she sees fit.  but it just looks so cool with all the lines added IMO :D

It does look grand with all the extra rigging, BP! But you're right, I guess that makes it much harder to ship.

Another wonderful 3940-customization!  :)9
Though personally, I prefer darker (non-white) hulls like with your Santa Maria galleon.
Btw, my "virtual Armada" has left port last friday and is looking for it's prey...;)

Errr  ??? Spanker sail! Look I know a ship has a pointy bit at the front and the back is flat and the sails are on spars but you've lost me on the rest I'm not a nautical person. Yes the ships would look good like Mac's custom ships with extra sails and rigging and all the things you've mentioned. I had a go once and it was ok.  :-\

These ships were just meant to custom paint jobs not fully customised ships, simply as I didn't want to spend the sort of time it would take to rebuild etc. As to extra rigging I've no idea where it would go and I'd have to send instructions with the ship if I did.  :-[ sorry I'm just a failure

Thanks, I must admit I like the Santa Maria the best it's just a great shade of red I found.

I shall have my lookouts keeping an eye out for your fleet and be ready to hoist sail..... and run!

I already fired some shots across the bow of the SM... ;D
She's slowing down now but I'm not sure she'll surrender. I hope so, cause I'd really like to avoid having to shoot heavier guns and board her... ;)

Ah well the Santa Maria is no easy Lady, besides while your engaged with her, her big sister the Magdalena has caught up and is about to fire a volley broadside! Your puny flagship will be pinned between my lovely ladies and decimated!

Surrender and walk the plank and you may be forgiven for scratching my lovely paintwork!!!!
