btw, did u ever get around to making the deck lid cover?

On the 5135 (new 3940/3286 version) the front-gap is covered. I'm not sure if it's covered with a lid, or if they just filled up the deck-mould...
If you can wait till mid-august, I'll be able to tell weither yes or no there is a fitting Playmobil-lid...

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!

That would be awesome Hadoque! :o

Atto,
I really need to learn ship talk. ;)
It took me a while, but I finally figured out all the placements on your guns! :P

in addition to the 6 notches I cut in the main deck railing to accommodate 6 cannons in addition to the 8 stock cannon ports that already come with the ship, I plan to cut 2 more cannon ports on each side of the gundeck (totalling 4 more guns), and one additional cannon port on each side of the main deck (totalling 2 more guns additionally), making a grand total of 20 guns (and still able to float).

You will need to explain this with pictures or something... :-[
I still do not quite understand what you are saying here.

Where, praytell, are you planning to add your additional 4 cannons?  Will it be on the gundeck as well?

That's the plan, But i hope not to have to cut the side of the ship...
We'll see. :-\

(I'm planning on adding the gunports between the stern-most guns and the middle guns, as well as the fore-most guns and the middle guns.

You mean you are adding additional holes in the side of your ship for extra cannon holes?
You are brave! :o I might, if I had another 3940 ship, and I hadn't already painted it! :P

If we want to be completely awesome, WOT, we should add 2 forward-facing cannons (mine actually has room for them on the forecastle) as well as 2 aft-mounted "bow chaser" cannons.  The fact that you cut your gundeck to have access to the bildges would be a good opportunity to install chaser guns facing aft just below the captain's cabin, or you can make the captain's cabin completely part of the main gun deck and add the stern chasers from the main gundeck level from inside the captain's cabin (just like the aft-most stock guns that face outward already).  So, potentially, a 3286 ship has the potential to be a 24-gun ship!!!!

That's an interesting idea...
But I like to keep room for my captain (soon to be admiral). ;)
Like I said, I wish I had talked with you before I painted the ship. ::)
I will just have to make another ship, maybe Albus II. :toot:

I made some recent improvements for The Albus.

First, A small dinghy off the stern. :)

Then I decided to make a new crew.
The admiral remains the same, but the rest of the crew's uniform will be different.
This is so my later time periods uniforms will match up,
And I think the gray looks much better. :)

I only have the first mate, whom will look a little different then the rest of the crew.
I will show the crewmen as I add them.
I hope you like the new additions.

:-[ Sorry WOT it's taken me so long to visit your thread ( my mum's seen it earlier and told me how good it was!) Your ship is looking wonderful

I'm impressed by your alterations so far and by your next ideas  :hatoff: :wow: :wow: :wow: I just haven't the patience or the talent to do a custom ship like this. I'm sure you'll be able to trounce the other ships when she's ready to cast off for deeper waters!
Improvise, adapt, overcome ..... If all else fails FAKE IT!
