@Giorginetto, Tiermann and WarriorOfToys: Thank you very much ...

The end is coming nearer and nearer...

Chapter XIX.

Some minutes ago, the dwarves had opened the door and had entered together with their human companion the area behind it. It was a long corridor, innumerable doors seamed its walls. Helpless they looked to each other. Suddenly one of the doors was opened, and TRACANIS came out. He held his sword in the right, a dagger in the left hand. His eyes looked confused. His hair stuck weldingwet at his temple. He cried as from senses and attacked at once ARN and his friends.

The mad prince killed with the sword the first dwarf, and ZIHIT could escape only around a hair width the dagger. TRACANSIS breathed heavy in and out. His unsteady view looked for a new victim and selected the wolf warrior. Lurking the dark prince came to the warrior, then he attacked the man with a fast sword blow. The wolf warrior warded off the attack and started immediately his own assault.

While the prince fought with the warrior, YESIS and ZIHIT ran to their friend. After they recognized however the fact that they could not help the dead one any longer, the dwarfes stormed along the corridor and opened all the doors. But the chambers behind them were empty. Finally they opened a door, which led into a laboratory. High shelves with books, unknown equipments and bubbling liquids made a ghostly atmosphere in the chamber. The dwarves entered the room curiously.

ZIHIT, the youngest of the dwarves,  called suddenly  „YESIS, come to me! I have found them!“ Yesis left immediately off the book, through which he had leafed, and went to his friend. Two black-haired men lay quietly on two plank beds. One of them was still a young man, around the twenty. The other one had a long beard and felted hair, these one was perhaps forty years old. The bodies were lying lifeless on the plank beds.

A small dragon statue stood at the top of each plank bed. They pulsated threateningly. ZIHIT was reminded of a heart impact, and he believed to recognize a liquid, which was pumped by the small statue. YESIS put his ear on the chest of the younger one, „he breathes, therefore he also still lives.“ „These must be the hosts“, ZIHIT determined. „We have to wake them up. But how?“ Thereupon YESIS took a small hook of the table and smashed the dragon figures.

A shuddering went immediately through the bodies liveless before. The younger of the two heaved up his torso. He cried, „LILIAN!“ and he opened his eyes wide. From the throat of the older however only incomprehensible words came. They reminded more of the spitting of a wild animal, than of a human voice.

The two humans looked confused around. They rose uncertainly from their plank beds. YESIS and ZIHIT helped their rising  and supported them with their first steps. „Who are you? Where am I?“ The younger wanted to know. Then he remembered, „LILIAN, where is she? A monster threatened her. How is she?“ He looked fast into the round, then he regarded his opposite. Fascinated he viewed at this face. He recognized himself, around many years aged. „TURID“, he whispered, „you must be TURID… “

„TUURRRIIIDD“, the name came only indistinctly over the lips of the bearded one. „I… am… TURID “, his tongue and lips formed the words only clumsily. They had been mute for a too long time. „ARTRAC took you both prisoner … “ When Yesis mentioned ARTRAC's name, TURID turned around. He shouted full hate, „ARTRAC… has… killed… my… father. …The meeting on… the high … castle was… a trap. ARTRAC and his… myrmidons have… killed ... the kings.“

Thereupon TURAS stepped again to his brother, „JURON was also my father.“ Now it was at TURID to regard his opposite longer. The realization matured only slowly. „TURAS? You... are… my brother… TURAS?“ The words came ever more easily to him. „Where is… ARTRAC? “„ARTRAC is dead.“ YESIS explained it to the two brothers. „However his son and his wife are not yet defeated. Come on, we have to assist the others. ARTRAC's wife Chrona is a witch. Their forces are nearly as strong as Deman YA's.“

Without further explanations the dwarves ran out to the door. With many questions on the lips, TURID and TURAS followed the dwarves after the corridor. There they found the heavily wounded wolf warrior. The dead TRACANSIS lay before him. While the dwarves worried still rapidly about the warrior's wounds, TURID took TRACANSIS' sword. „Now the witch is only remaining.“ TURAS took TRACANSIS' dagger from the soil, and together with YESIS the brothers hurried to the connecting door.
