The chronicles of Mittland Part 03 Time of the wolves

[Vauban]

While the wolf warrior could defeat his opponent after a short fight, the sharp double axe killed the wolf, when this attacked the dragon guardian. The dragon attendant approached the wolf warrior with this heavy weapon in the left hand. The right hand was only an iron hook. Lurking he observed each movement of the warrior. As the warrior attacked the man with the sword,  the guardian's hook twitched before and teared the weapon from the warrior.

Only with trouble the warrior could escape from the following blow with the weapon. On the search for another weapon the wolf warrior jumped to the corpse of the other attendant and took up his axe.

[Vauban]

The warrior tore the weapon upward and repelled with it the next impact of the furiously attacking dragon guardian. Watchfully the warrior observed the axe and the hook of his opponent, then also he turned into the attack. Cracking the axes were hitting one on the other. Sparks were flying into the air.

In order to protect LILIAN, ARN pushed her to the side. When his fingers looked for a weapon, they closed at a wooden bar. ARN whirled around the own axle and struck with the bar after the feet of the dragon attendant. It succeeded him to bring the dragon guardian to case. ARN placed behind with the bar and struck the falling meditationless. Also the third attendant was subject to his opponent, but dying he fell on a lever. Crunching the heavy iron gate of the stables lifted themselves, and the dragons stepped forward.

LILIAN cried, when the dragon's head approached her face. She felt its hot fire breath in her face. Lilian expected her death and closed the eyes. But the dragon looked only interested on her. Also the second beast approached the humans, but its eyes radiated malicious destruction and rage, and the dragon stretched its claws, in order to pack the young woman.

[Vauban]

The dragon claw stopped only a few centimeters in front of LILIAN's neck. It was imprisoned by the iron grasp of the second dragon. The dragon tried to escape from the grasp of its own species. With teeth and claws they fell one above the other ago. Their blows and bite came so fast that the human eye could hardly pursue them. Their powerful shed-covered tails struck large pieces of rock from the walls and the cover. The humans stared fascinated at this fight of the elemental powers. 

[Vauban]

Suddenly the fight ended. The dragons solidified in the motion, became liveless statues.   „Which is happened?“ LILIAN asked into the unexpected silence. „The connection “, Arn was jubilant, „the connection to their hosts was smashed. Hurry up, we must regain the others!“ Then the dragons disappeared. Only the traces of their fight still witnessed from their presence.
