well... I don't understand this very well.... but the boxes CAN'T be sealed before glueing them. And what would be the point of it?
ahhh gaston the 70's and early 80's sets were closing as a folder and you could open and close the box again...(that's why i ask how they were sealed
after mid 80's they started using glue

I don't remember the small boxes ever being shrink-wrapped in the UK.
The contents were sealed in plastic bags inside the box but the boxes could be opened if you wished.
