Old "color" soldier/Western carriages and cannon

A while back I found on the attic in my dad's house the only Playmo from my childhood... that I didn't sell off when being in my late teens.
(which was an awfull lot and existed of 3050 ships, steck-castles and medieval houses, western forts, etc..
)
So what I found was this; 2 Color-carriages and a cannon... I painted them when I was about 10 years old.
Now I'm wondering weither to keep them as they are (the paint has faded in several areas), to carefully repaint them in the same colours, or to use the spray-can and make them fit with my non-Color Playmo....

Awesome paint jod!!! I'd keep them like that and use a spray that allows the colour to be preserved under it just for the sake of childhood memories!

You obviously had good craft skills from an early age, Erwin. Maybe leave them as they are as a souvenir of those times?

Oh easy choice on this one. Save these and put them in a special no light display to preserve their unique beauty. Get one off ebay (if we are allowed by MrB) and paint it however you see fit.

I agree, preserve your chilhood coloring job, as a memory of where it all began.

if my son painted this, I will put it in a special place and give it back to him when he reaches a age when he'll treasure such memories
if your dad wont continue to keep these, I can keep them for you

Thanks for the opinions
I've decided not to use the spraycan and to preserve them with the colours they're having.
Maybe I can refresh the colours by some carefully re-painting with very similar colours?
(actually I haven't painted any Playmo since I did these carriages with the Color-pencils almost 30 years ago, with exception of 2 skull-ornaments of the 4290-ship
)
What method/paint shoud I use? I've heard of possible "airbrush"-methods, but don't know much about that...

You'll have to get past the cat first, he is taller and meaner then he looks in the pic!

I think you should keep it just the way it is.
Maybe not even repaint it.
Keep it someplace special, I think it is a wonderful find, and a wonderful gift.
And you will be able to look back, see that and say,
"I remember...."
