I hope I'm wrong but the garbage truck reminds me of the chinese firetruck with the hard plastic wheels.  The short bus could be too.

Does anyone know what it says on the sign board of the bus. On the bottom is says "SCHOOL BUS" but what is above it ? My translator says school bus in German is "Schulbus"  and it does not look like that. The small buses we have only say School Bus and nothing else so I was curious as to what this is.

It looks like "Ecoliers" to me, which would be one way to say "school children" in French.  This set may be destined for Canada as well as  the U.S.

It looks like it might be a sticker - if so, and if you have to apply it yourself, you could just cut it in half.  If not a sticker, you could possibly cover the word "ecoliers" with a piece of electrician's tape.
