A German friend has just sent me some pics of new figures which I have never seen before!  :D
(I added the graphic backgrounds behind them. ;))

I think quite a few members will be very excited and happy when they see these, especially our fans of the Rescue theme! 8-)

I really like the baseball figure. If this gets released as a Special, it would be quite easy (and not too expensive) to make a whole team by giving them different hair or faces. Whaddya think, Rob? ;D

Btw, I'm told that the baseball glove has a tiny magnet which helps the ball to stick to it. The klicky can't hold the ball without using the glove since it's completely round, unlike some of the other sports balls previously produced.

Hope you enjoy the pics! :)

Now where've I seen something like that before?  And written to Playmobil with pics.

The flak jacket in Sylvia's pic is a redo of the police vest from the checkpoint set

There is someone that already has the police figure for sale in auctions on eBay. I had thought it a custom but I guess not.

He Gordon, where are these fences from in your pictures? Never have seen these before. They look pretty cool and quite usefull. (Also the shields of the police special unit)

I wonder where these pictures come from (Sylvia, do you know somebody in the Secret Playmobil development section  ???). The baseball figure is really a nice idea.

Yes, sports teams (e.g. football/soccer, baseball, etc.) and soldiers (e.g. the romans) are quite good ideas to raise sales: one of these figures is not enough and there is no reason stop buying them for enlarging the armee, teams, etc.

(Ah, Playmobil goes now for magnetics ... after the usage in the microsets they discovered this technology for other purposes too.)

Hello Jochen.  The fences are from a Bruder construction accessory set, part number 02409.

It's actually 50% larger in scale than Playmobil at 1:16 but fits in well.

The shields are the Playmobil shields with a decal added.

Great customs, Gordon! 8-)
I think it quite possible you have helped to inspire the development of this new Police figure. :yup:

Looks like it could be a trend... but not completely new. ;)
There have been magnetic fish and rods with magnetic "bait" to catch them in some previous sets. :)

Oh yes, you're absolutely right. I forget. There had been some small pieces before. Nevertheless in the microsets they used them excessively (but very usefull).

Thank you very much. I found it already on eBay. Very good hint. The fences look really great.

And I really like your special police unit. I think I'll customize some for my German police squad (in green) too. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh no.. a baseball team..  I am still customizing my American Football team.......   At least they made different soccer players.. I like these sport related themes.   Back when Playmobl released the female golfer.. I was hoping for a male one.. or a driving golf cart.. etc.

I don't go for these themes generally and I'm not up to date with most of the modern living type figures. So are those new style legs on the Baseball player, they seem to have elasticated ankles just like track pants really have or has this style already been used elsewhere?
