Hey gang, thanks for all the inspiration and information contained in this forum (and over at the PlaymoDB); it was indispensable. Here's my first Playmobil custom.* I made this as an anniversary gift for my wife. I have tried to capture our appearance and typical outfits. I painted and decaled the laptop to look like the wife's Dell. Of course, I had to include our three cats. The set number represents the street number of a place we've lived.

30 00 1742I used blank white torsos for both figures, not sure which ones exactly. The sandals came from one of the bikini girl figures, and I got the cats and all the office accessories from DS or eBay.
Process: I used Apoxy Sculpt to create the shorter skirt from the legs with shorts. I used an exacto blade to trim back those harsh eyebrows Playmobil uses sometimes. I handpainted the pearls and eyebrows/sideburns on the husband figure.
I used waterslide decals for the polka dots, the husband's button-up collar, and the cat's stripes (I wanted the cats to look more like our pets). Lastly, I used laserjet sticker paper to print the laptop stickers and the new box art.

Not my first custom toy, though. I've done football helmets, little electric football players, and back in high school I did a few superhero action figures. I do custom graphics all the time; it's my job!
