Wow you have quite a collection

In image DSC-2350 & DSC-2344 did they sell playmobil like that in those set up boxes with the clear front ?

It would be interesting to see more about this Fun Club especially now that we are working/dreaming about the PCC
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Hi,

Yes these 2 images come from 2 different Schaper dealer catalogs. When the box design changed in 1980 into a universal blue the displays also changed from black to blue. I am lucky to have one of those black Schaper displays (with farmer theme). They are one of the best displays ever made. Their headquarters was in Minneapolis, I have tried to get in contact with former Schaper employees and a few were very friendly in asking some questions I had. Unfortunately none of them had any merchandise, catalogs or displays for me  :-[. I am a history buff, so I always try to find more info about the Schaper-Playmobil connection. Supposedly their first commercial was called 'Land of Forgotten Toys', if anybody here has this commercial than please get in touch with me .

I believe the open front diorama boxes are dealer displays.

I wouldn't want to be one of those klickies on the rope bridge when the elephant walked out on it. DSC-2362

The following pages are from some ultra rare 'Toy Fair' catalogs with all the novelties from those years (late seventies and early eighties). I could not photograph every single page, so it's just a small overview. If you look carefully there are quite a few prototype parts in there. Enjoy
