I like the idea behind this developments! I can see their usefulness for dioramas.

On the designer's HP you can get a closer look on some of the designs:

I have a question for anyone who may know the answer, are the mats large enough to actually set the structures on & not dominate the mat? ??? In other words are they designed to scale? :-\

Like Bill, I wonder about the scale. 50cm by 50cm is roughly 20in by 20in and, taking the roadscape as an example, one 4821 fire engine is 30cm long.

well you certainly will not be able to have a two way street with these.
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Yes, surely not. It would be nice if they were bigger.

I'm glad these are getting some notice now.  I asked about these a couple of times over the past year or so and nobody seemed to know anything.  I think they are a great idea - albeit a bit expensive.  I think the photos they use on the site are well done but they are limited by having the set (ie castle, pony ranch, etc) printed on the mat.

I think with some creativity and some fun we could always make our own.  Not all of us have time for that, though
