playmobil playing mats
« on: March 11, 2011, 03:26:22 »
8} somehow (surfing the web, one place links to another) i found this dutch company that sells mats where playmobil sets can be placed to play with:
http://www.playplan.eu/
:) maybe on of the best things is the way several designs can "lock" together.
:hmm: something playmobil could do all the time (as far as i know they did only at the "safari" river).

They certainly seemed to have designed these with Playmobil in mind. Neat! I might need to see about getting some of these.

Those are neat and it is about time some one made these. I really like the city roads and the beach ones but did they have to put the buildings and trees printed on. I mean isn't the point that you put on the 3 dimensional parts on yourself

Thanks for the link cachalote

These are really awesome there is something like this on playmobil.de : http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Search-Show?cgid=LZ_TShirt They have mats that go with a variety of themes, and they look pretty cool.

To be honest - I've seen them here before and I wasn't that impressed.
I thought they were rather expensive and didn't offer that much.

But then again - that's just me ...

Im afriad I must agree with Bogro on this...it doesn't add a whole lot for 15v Euro's...better get more "real" PM for that money.

Well.... I think it's a little odd that it has a footprint of the set on it... i think that really limits the possibilities, creativity-wise. The only ones I think have some value are the city ones, because they have roads, which is kind of nice. Does anyone know how big they are? Are they all the same size?

I really like the way-mats...it would be quite cool to make the whole ways at my zoo with them *dream*

Every set contains one big (50x50cm) or four smaller parts (each 25x25cm) that can be combined as you like. I mailed with the producer some months ago and he said that the "buildings" are printed on the mats because kids can use their imagination to play without having the real playmobil-sets.

The material is similar to most mousepads with some kind of rubber on the downside and a flat polyester-layer on the upside so the klickies get a solid stand.
