Putting on a Playmobil Exhibition
« on: March 02, 2011, 22:02:02 »
I intend to capture the experience of putting on the Playmobil exhibition in Knaresborough in February 2011.

I was inspired by the exhibition Skypurr did in her home village in July 2010.  Perhaps others are feeling inspired to try something similar.

I plan to prepare a report with a number of elements:  Venue; what to show; when to show it; how to lay it out; how to advertise and promote it; what tricks and gimmicks will make it engaging; what might it cost.

How did other contributors prepare?

Is there anything else people would like to ask?

i missed Elaine's exhibition but this sounds very interesting! - i guess it's about an exhibition of your private collection?

as for the advertising piece - it definately has to have playmobil faces or pictures in whatever format you use :D
I could help with pictures if you need someone to help with that, but i don't know what themes you collect

Luis
Sorry for any confusion but I am looking to write up the experience of having just done an exhibition - see the thread called KNARESBOROUGH PLAYMOBIL EXHIBITION.  It was good fun and hard work and I would encourage others to have a go at doing something similar.  My report will hopefully help others to do something similar, either on their own or with other collectors.

Sorry guys.  i have been busy with so many things that, although I made a start, I didn't finish writing the "report".  I'll try to get back to this.

Damo :)
just been so busy lately!
When you do Damo, would you see if you have the end rail off my gold mine!  I think it might have been packed up with yours - I've only just got around to sorting and I haven't found it yet  :lens:
