Great custom work, WoT, and a very ingenious use of unrelated parts.  But aren't the sides rather open to arrows?  Maybe, a wall of shields down the side held by legionnaires?

Yup, that is one option.
I am working on ways to fix that now...
But for now, I need to use shields. ::)

A great improvement on the Playmobil designs!

It makes no sense to mount a battering ram at the bottom of a siege tower, and then use it to knock holes in a wall you are trying to climb over! That's akin to standing on a branch as you saw it off a tree.

Battering rams are used against gates and don't need height, they only need to attack the bottom of the gate.

That's an ingenious custom, WarriorOfToys!  Playmobil's siege tower battering ram combination never made sense to be, based upon the reasons Martin mentions, and their Viking battering ram lacks protection for the operators, but yours is perfect.  Well done! :wow:

Very clever set up, i wonder what it would look like if the modern type roof was replaced by a western  fort set wooden steck wall, maybe a bit more realistic this way? If i was at my playmoden i would take a photo of that but unfortunatelly I am not right now ....

I remember when the orgianl playmobil siege tower and ram was releasied i was thinking that they shoudl separate these really as they are for a different purpose all together !!!  :)
