I notice that on klickywelt there's a new forum called Qualitatsreport where members are reporting problems with Playmobil items such as the hub caps which won't stay on.

Hmmm, that's very interesting. I'm sorry that quality is beginning to be a problem with playmobil. never used to be the case, and I hope after hearing feedback from the community they will work to fix the problems.

yeah... it is interesting and sad that this became an issue, seriously enough to creat a forum about it. Im sure GEaobra spies will work on getting a better quality control after reading about it  ;)

BTW what are the hub caps?

We have discussed the issue here, about the press in 30225990 hub caps on the 3178 fire equipment trailer & 3181 SUV fire truck. I even developed a way to correct the problem without gluing them in position.

That hubcap issues is quite annoying and I hardly see how this could have been an oversight. It only takes playing with any of the vehicles that those caps comes in to realize they rarely stay in. I bet the factory made the mold and goofed but figured it would just be alright and did not authorize a new mold being made. Out of frustration I never put them in as they will just fall out and I have too many to heat and bend them all

The hub cap problem seems to have arisen only recently, the first 3178 fire trailers didn't have this problem and my guess is that it's a result in changes in the composition of the plastic which had to be introduced in the last few years.

Every truck I have including the trailer has this problem. It may be due to the kids removing them a lot or it just was always like that. I remember how frustrating it was with the rally trucks that were racing through our great sandy plains (beige carpet) and the caps would always fly off. They hurt like hell when you step on them at night too, more than legos  :omg:
