which castle type is best?
« on: February 14, 2011, 01:38:53 »
I know this question will generate many different answers!

I want to use castle parts to make some custom rooms. What would be better, steck or system x?

I guess that would depend on what kind of rooms you want to make (before I yell steck). Could you please tell us more about what you're wanting to do?

I admit I'm very bias, but I think steck is usually better for customization

Well, I am gathering bits for my Hogwarts/Harry Potter theme and want to make things like a classroom, the Gryffindor common room etc. I would love to build a hogwarts but would probably spend the rest of my life getting the pieces, so thought a few rooms might make me happy.

It would have to be Steck system. The System X ones just don't have the necessary flexibility to do large halls and custom spaces.

Thank you all. I own no steck so the search must begin.  ;D

Any suggestions re: essential parts?

Do I need to write my views on Steck once again

I think a vote would be nice on this, the only worthy Playmobil castle is the 3666 which is light yars ahead of its predecessor with the various new steck pieces introduded, the new gate and the round towers . Far far better than any system x castle which in my opinion look absolute rubbish and non realistic at all and the clip castles which  are exceptionally limited for customisation and look even less realistic .

The only worthy system for castles and in general that Playmobil has made is Steck. I have steck pieces from 1978/1979 and they still function fine , I wonder how the System x system with all these rubbish plugs will be in 30 or so years. Clip x castles look so unrealistixc their kings quarters are so rubbish in design and aesethetics they remind me of some cheap toys sold in toys fairs made in China

Only Steck is the system that offers excreptionall aesthetics, incredible durability, limiltless customisation. Bring back Steck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: To answer your question buy a couple of 3666s and a couple of 3667s and/or some loose steck pieces and the possibilites are endless , see some of the custom steck castles here to get an idea how many possibilies one can have .....
:knight: Steck is Holy . Bring back more steck sets and its guardians , the Nuremberg Guards :knight:
