If his apron is "filed" appropriately in the "leisure people" box, I'll put it back on. If it isn't and the boy can't remember where he last played with it, it could take months to find. I think he only ever wore it when we first got him and we took it off so that my son could carry him round without it getting lost.

He really is my husband - when Father Christmas brought the set when my son had not long turned 3, my son looked at it and said "It's Daddy" and that has stuck ever since (my real-life husband does cook, but does not possess an apron"!!)

I'll see what I can do. I haven't seen my camera since yesterday  8}

Yes, I think he's fine the way he is. I don't think not having his apron on makes him a custom, and if anyone doesn't know what he looks like with it on, it's easy to look up the set.
