with functional oar and shooting cannon. The boat floats and can be upgraded with the Underwater Motor (item 7350).

what do you mean "functional oar?"  o_O

One thing I did notice about the 4444 is that it does have holes along the railing that could accept oar pivot holders, but the ship doesn't come with any oars at all.

So I'm curious what you mean by "functional oar"

My guess too.

Just out of curiosity, are these small boats in any way historically accurate ???? I don't think so, but I'm pretty ignorant about pirate history.

Sorry, I just copied the text from the US playmobil website.  So, I can't comment on the lack of an oar.  Good observation, though; I didn't look that closely at it.

I don't know about historically accurate, but I sure wish they would leave the sail whole instead of full of holes.  I mean a sail with that many holes in it would essentially be non functional wouldn't it? :eh?:

Those holes are silly. I think they were going to make a ghost pirate ship but changed their mind half way through the project.

The holes are meant to represent the effects of shot and shell.

I think this has been raised before and that the feeling was that they were based on an 18th century sailing cutter.
