it probably would work :P

I know someone will know, because it has the same logo as on my Playmobil train, and so must be something o do with either train motors, or the company :-\

The words on the bottom read: funkenschutz zeichen des vde

And google translates it as: radio-protection sign of the vde

 :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

I really want to know what this thing is! 8}

VDE : Verband der Elektrotechnik

German Institute for electro-technical issues and standardization

I would therefore say this mark is only there to show this device was certified as "conform to standards" by the VDE

It doesn't create a direct link with playmobil trains

I didn't think it had anything to do with Playmobil - just that the same name happened to be on the old trains so i thought there may be a connection :-\

Anyways, I'm taking a mad stab at it being a battery powered clockwork winder for LGB trains, for example :P

I don't think it's LGB, it's not a typical engine motor piece or a switch motor
