Hello old friends and new ones!
I'm a Playmobil fan from the south of the Netherlands; I used to have a large Playmobil collection as a kid that I sold off when I was 14 and have had serious regrets about ever since, so around my 24th birthday I walked into a toy shop and bought two specials, the 4503 vulture and the 4517 dark knight. This was the beginning of a serious habit that's continued to this day, albeit with some dips due to my financial situation (at the moment I put myself on a budget of 30-50 euros per month, which is pretty OK).
I finally signed up for Playmofriends after a major dip in any forum activity of several years. I used to be a very prolific member of the Playmoboard forum, I'm still an active member of the Laughing Giraffe forum (about 1-2 posts per day) and I'm a lurker at the German Klickywelt forum - mostly to find out about new releases as soon as possible; I don't post there for several reasons. I don't know if I'm going to be very active here but I definitely want to keep up with developments in the Playmobil community, and I don't want to be only a lurker here too.
In real life I work as a process development engineer for a specialised in OLED-display techniques. I'm also the lead singer and mandolin player of a folk metal band called Chain of Dogs, which is my "baby"

. At the moment most of my creativity and probably more work than my day job are chanelled into the band, and it's starting to pay off.
I live together with my beautiful girlfriend and our 3 cats, read and write fantasy and science fiction and besides Playmobil I collect (and sometimes paint) 6mm miniatures for wargames, mostly WW1 and WW2 with some SF/alternate reality hiccups. That's me in a nutshell.
