The Old Man and the Sea
« on: January 07, 2011, 17:04:31 »
Hello Friends, I just had my ESL (english as a second language) students read The Old Man and the Sea and I just got the marlin yesterday so I thought I'd throw this together.

HI

Nice diorama, I like the effect of your water fabric.

Wonderful picture and super book!  I agree the fabric really does mimic the ocean.

Thank you all for the kind comments.  I love that piece of fabric for water.  It is a little thicker so you can give it peaks and valleys and waves and they stay.  I've used this in an unfinished stop-motion video and I basically put my hand underneath it and wiggled my fingers and it makes the water look like it's undulating and rippling.  I got it at Hobby Lobby if I'm not mistaken.  Thanks again!
