Like it been called HADOR kneeled down as well as ARN. Expectation-fully the wolf looked at them with his large red eyes. From ARN's throat came a deep roaring. Now the wolf sat down on his hind legs and the talk began.

After a while the wolf gave a short barking of himself. Thereupon wolf and wolf man rose up. Also ARN discharged a similar barking, and the wolf disappeared in the forest. HADOR stood up now likewise.

„What do you have experienced, wolfman? “„The men, who attacked the frontier station, met in the forest with a group black dressed persons. They argued heavily and one of the black men killed the leader of the robbers. “

[Vauban]

„The remaining robbers fled. The black men rode to the west. Probably they will cross the river somewhere river upward. The wolf did not know more to report. But he and his herd will accompany us as scouts up to the mountains.“

[Vauban]

ARN and HADOR returned to the others. JURON, TURID and the captain of the soldiers discussed in the room the further way to follow. The pass at the Four Fingers Of The Indescribable made possible the passage of the mountains, offered at the same time an ideal opportunity for an assault. „If we go around the mountains toward the Savage Country, we will lose very much time. And the trip by the Savage Country may be more dangerous than to use the pass through the mountains. “

ARN stepped to the three. „I know the pass well. It is close, two cars fit hardly next to each other. A large number of fighters would obstruct themself only mutually.
